![]() ![]() This technology integration is simply amazing, and one that many people would appreciate.Īndroid TV is very easy and straightforward to set up. You don't want to place it in the middle facing the wall? Fine! The projected image can be easily adjusted from looking sideways to looking centre, all while the projector is on the side. That means that if you move the projector around you can easily refocus the screen by pressing the button. The autofocus button is pretty reachable and can be found on the Nebula Connect app as well. It projects at 4K up to 60hz, it comes with Android TV built in, so you don't need to plug any other device, and it has amazing keystone and autofocus functionality which I find unbelievably useful. This projector is not just robust in terms of performance, but equally very smart. I like the forward facing area with the projector lamp and sensors, an d I also like the sides with the well-designed speaker holes. It looks pretty premium in terms of colours, visual appearance, and design. Therefore, I still believe it is quite portable despite the weight. Second, it comes with dedicated speakers so you don't need to take your own. First, this comes with a dedicated handle, one that allows you to carry it around just like an icebox. For many people this might seem a lot, but considering the performance and the form factor, I would say it is worth the hassle. The word 'compact' or 'portable' can be misleading for some. I already spent a week testing it and there is a lot to unpack. Below I share my review of this projector in detail. Some are lucky and don't run into those issues, but a lot have, which is troublesome. This is the Anker NEBULA Cosmos Laser 4K Projector, one of the best compact projectors out there, and an item that would not disappoint you in any way. I would skip the Optoma models due to their reliability issues. Owners who have compared it to lamp-based models also call it out for the outstanding brightness it delivers. Most of their calibrated brightness modes are in excess of 1,000 real world lumens. This is where models like the BenQ X3000i with their bright LED light source really come into action. The 3550 isn't a bright model either, but it hits very good color accuracy with a bit under 800 ANSI lumens. This is a massive discrepancy between advertised brightness and real world quality! ![]() For example, in a review of the Optoma UHD55, the peak brightness with very bad color was about 2,800 lumens, but with accurate reference color, the brightness was under 650 lumens. The fake added brightness of the other models is not an asset. Yes, the HT3550/3560 models would give you a better looking image for the money spent, if they work for your setup. You may be quite happy with the BenQ models you have listed. Projector Aligning and Squaring - YouTube Maybe watch this video to get an idea of why it matters. Optoma LOVES to boost their brightness claims by inserting a clear segment in their color wheels, then still falling short on those claims.Īre you looking to place the projector in any specific location? You should really learn what throw distance is, and why it matters to you and your setup. Especially Optoma who has been in free fall with their claims for several years now. I don't favor LCD over DLP or vice versa, but DLP claims of brightness are often WAY off the reality of what their calibrated numbers come up to. But, the HT3550 received many dings for failing to be very bright in the most color accurate modes and was considered to be 'dim' by many owners. I wouldn't get the 2350 over a similarly price BenQ (HT2060 or so) due to the weaker contrast, and the DLP models have plenty of color accurate brightness up to a certain size of screen. Įpson has no issues hitting higher color brightness output on all their models including the more price conscious 2350. Models like the Epson 32 (especially) are a good deal brighter in calibrated modes. ![]()
